Imagination isn't running out of ideas. Maybe we're just not giving it anywhere quiet enough to develop them.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?

To play anywhere. To build something. To make anything simply because you wondered if you could. No guidelines to follow.

At some point, we got really good about filling empty space.

Waiting? Time to scroll.
Directions, because we're lost.
Instantly having answers when there's a question.
Boredom is now something to fix.

Oddly, we're always and intentionally looking for places where the signal drops.
Camping. Fishing. Hiking. A drive to nowhere. Photos as reminders. Sitting around fires without talking.

Maybe it's not exactly about the escape.

I think it's trying to silence the noise just long enough to hear ourselves think again. There's something interesting about letting the battery die to reset our internal charge.

Imagination doesn't always require more inspiration.
Sometimes it just needs fewer interruptions.
